{"id":370,"date":"2019-10-03T12:00:23","date_gmt":"2019-10-03T12:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rare2020.www.bioevents.net\/?page_id=370"},"modified":"2020-06-04T07:42:22","modified_gmt":"2020-06-04T07:42:22","slug":"welcome-letter","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sopate.com\/welcome-letter\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome Letter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Friends &amp; Colleagues,<\/p>\n<p>It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the upcoming <strong>4th European Congress on Clinical Trials in Pain (SOPATE2020) <\/strong>which will take place on\u00a0<strong>16-17 November 2020<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0<strong>Vienna, Austria.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chronic pain is a complex biopsychosocial phenomenon with a variety of heterogeneous clinical manifestations, pain phenotypes and co-morbidities. The management of chronic pain is still a challenge and we desperately need novel therapeutic approaches. In recent years many clinical trials addressing chronic pain failed to meet the trial endpoint despite encouraging data from preclinical research. One reason for this is that clinical trials have deficits in defining the correct inclusion\/exclusion criteria, the correct endpoints and measures for clinically meaningful improvement.
